After the meeting, the White House has issued a media communique detailing the conversation between US President Jake Sullivan and Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti.
In the communiqué, National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan has met with Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti to express gratitude for the hosting of Afghan refugees in Kosovo.
They also discussed stability in the Western Balkans, with Mr. Sullivan, who has expressed US support for the EU's facilitated Dialogue to reach a comprehensive normalisation agreement between Kosovo and Serbia and the need for further progress on key unresolved questions”, said the communiqué.
Sullivan has also welcomed Kosovo's plans to shift from dependence on the coal of lignite to cleaner energy and to ensure sustainable electricity supply.
