Speaking in London on its first trip outside Ukraine since the beginning of the invasion, Iryna Venedicova says that from 100 to 200 new cases come every day.
She has met with Britain's Prosecutor General Suella Braverman, and other officials to discuss what the UK and other Western powers can do most to support the investigation process.
Venice says the most common alleged crime of war is the bombing of civil buildings, especially hospitals and schools. In total, it says more than 1,000 medical and educational buildings have been destroyed.
She also says civilians are being killed, and there are plunders and rapes. Venice finds that she has even begun investigating charges of genocide.
I absolutely agree that we in Ukraine have genocide. Why? Because they, I mean, came to destroy the Ukrainian state, to kill all Ukrainians, and want this land to be a part of the Russian Federation”, Venice said, adding that it is difficult to investigate the territory controlled by Russia. /abcnews. al
