Turkey's first state of state is arguing opposition, claiming that these two Nordic countries are home to the PKK.
But, Swedish Foreign Minister Ann Linde has rejected Turkish state claims that her country supports the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK).
“due to widespread disinformations around Sweden and the PKK, we want to remember that the Olf Palme government was first behind Turkey to declare it The PKK as a terrorist organisation, already in 1984. The EU followed suit in 2002, when Anna Lindh was Sweden's foreign minister. This position remains unchanged”, it wrote on Twitter.
We stress that besides Erdogan, even Croatian President Zoran Milanovic has conditioned the admission of Swedes and Finnishs into the world's largest military alliance.
Otherwise, Sweden and Finland have submitted membership application in Brussels during Thursday.
