Massachusetts health officials announced that the case was recorded with an adult male who had recently traveled to Canada.
The occasion comes on the day when officials at the Center for Disease Control and Prevention said they were monitoring at least six suspicious cases with the virus.
From the centre it was said that persons allegedly affected with this virus will be monitored for 21 days, until in Europe, 12 confirmed cases are so far.
Monkeypox infections are most frequent in Central Africa, where infection is usually due to direct contact with infected animals.
Apart from contact, the virus can spread through skin infections, coughing or sneezing.
According to data, 1 in 10 cases is fatal to life.
Last year a man from Texas had been lying in a hospital with the suspicion that he had been affected by this disease.
