Many countries have even raised the alarm for lack of basic products and price hikes.
Because of this opposition deputies are saying Kosovo has entered a deep economic crisis, and this is becoming unaffordable for the citizens of the country.
Democratic Party of Kosovo deputy Ferat Shala in an interview for Online Economy has said there is no progress in the economic, energy and political sector.
On the other hand, he also spoke of Kosovo-Albania relations, adding that after so many years there is a cold between the two countries.
The war in Ukraine will definitely affect the supply and production chain for food products. Many international institutions have already raised the alarm that precautions are needed and dare not be silent and dare not be passive before such a situation”.
We're not seeing the high level in the economic, energy and political sector. We have a cooling of Albania. -Kosovo we shouldn't have after so many years when Kosovo is a state and we have these” institutions, Shala said.
According to him, there is no clarity even in the dialogue process, but only the total freezing of the entire international political spectrum, adding that the Government has created no alternative for supply and production.
We actually don't have development strategies. We have no clarity in the process of dialogue, but we have completely frozen the entire international political spectrum in this relationship and it affects the economic aspect because many supply lines are dependent and we should already have alternatives, but this Government has not yet created an alternative for supply and production”.
Democratic League of Kosovo MP Valentina Bunaku-Rejep said that citizens are facing economic crisis and price increases from elementary to fuel, stressing that life in Kosovo has become unbearable.
We have an economic crisis. Citizens are facing the economic crisis with price hikes from elementary to fuel and other materials. Therefore, for the citizens of Kosovo, life has become unbearable. As far as state reserves are concerned, the minister has said he has enough”.
“While news has emerged that 10m euros have disappeared and the operator is unknown where it is. Now the prosecution remains to deal with the case. Everything in Kosovo has become unaffordable. Mr. Kurti has not met with someone important there who can bring favour to Kosovo”, said Bunjaku-Rejep.
While the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo deputy (AAK), Time Kadriaj, sees the lack of salary for citizens who are paying the cost of living at the constant price hikes.
The “is a serious economic situation for Kosovo citizens because it has been years that salaries have not been raised. And the cost of living has increased greatly because the prices of derivatives and electricity have increased, and thus the citizen basket has been poor. That's why we wanted the Kosovo Assembly to be brought to both the Law for Pay and the rise of the minimum wage”.
The minimum wage has been brought but discriminated against for specific categories. The government is still not bringing the salary law. The Government says there are but not enough. There are several agreements, but as these economic and political agreements are being implemented, parliamentary commissions are needed to see the implementation of these” agreements.
