Latvia's Prime Minister, Krisjans Karins, has praised the EU agreement to stop most Russian oil imports, saying the bloc moved together in the sixth package of sanctions to make Moscow more difficult to finance the war in Ukraine.
“We move as fast as we can all together, to make it more difficult for Russia to finance this war of aggression in Ukraine”, Karins said after 27 national leaders signed the agreement, overcoming Hungarian resistance.
