Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has continued his US meetings with various congressmen and politicians. Today, he has also met American congregator Mondere Jones, with whom they discussed security in the region after the war began in Ukraine.
Kurti during the meeting has reiterated Kosovo's request that the military camp at “Bandsteel” be returned to a permanent US military base in the Republic of Kosovo.
“The prime minister stressed the threat to the security of Kosovo and the region that could come from Serbia's military alliance with Russia and reiterated the request that the military camp “Randsteel” in Kosovo be returned to the permanent military base of the United States of America”, the Office for Media of the Prime Minister/
Kurti has notified Congresswoman Jones of efforts and commitment to attract investments, especially from the United States of America, and to create stable and well-paid jobs in Kosovo.
“U discussed security on the continent of Europe following Russian military aggression in Ukraine and the risk that Russian influence in the Western Balkans poses for peace and stability in the region”, the communique says.
