Kurt discovers Vuchy's clashes for Association: I'm not resisting it, but Constitution

Prime Minister Albin Kurti, while discussing the Atlantic Council, has talked about the Association of Serbian municipalities in Kosovo and discussions with Serbia's President Aleksandar Vuciq. Kurti estimates that Kosovo institutions such as the Constitution and the Constitutional Court do not allow the Association of Serbian municipalities, not himself as prime minister. “The multi-communation municipalities [...]
Kurti estimates that Kosovo institutions such as the Constitution and the Constitutional Court do not allow the Association of Serbian municipalities, not himself as prime minister.
The Serbian majority municipalities' association has agreed in Brussels in August 2015 and has not passed the Kosovo Constitutional Court test. Before that, the Serbian side has agreed that it could be addressed as case at the Constitutional Court”, Kurti said.
Ahtisaari's <x0 plan, which has been compromise and is involved in our constitution, says Kosovo should be a multiethnic society. So in the spirit is Ahtisaari's plan that does not allow monoethnic ethnicity”, he added.
“Monoethnic is not possible, according to the Constitutional Court's decision, published on December 23, 2016. I remember very well that none of the seven negotiating chapters are in accordance with the Constitution and in the total 23 articles are being violated, so it is state institutions, not me as prime minister who does not allow the Association of Serbian Communists”, Kurti said.
Serbia's “president has brought this as a matter in our talks and I have said that no Serb in Kosovo has ever protested not to implement the agreement. Only Belgrade is protesting. I have received many letters from the Kosovo Serbs with various beggars. No one ever wrote me saying I want the Association of Serb-run municipalities. Only Belgrade demands this, and President Vuciq asks for the sake of Serbs. How can he ask for this for Serbs when these do not require”, the chief executive said.
Kurt also talked to Vuchy.
The “I've requested that Vucciki sign a declaration of peace and nonattack, this he has rejected. So I am there as prime minister to the Kosovo Serbs and I am against any discrimination and there is no discrimination for Serbs in the Kosovo budget”, he added.
“Pala counterpart, president of Serbia in the past two years, has been very committed to this territorial exchange project with my predecessors. I believe they've had extremely long-term fantasies of exchanging territories. Now with the new power, with democratic changes in Kosovo, we shifted this area where this dialogue is kept from that transactional grade to that transformational one. From dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia we must gain more democracy, more justice, more rights or better lives of citizens. Citizens should feel and live better than dialogue. I am optimistic and hope that the situation will change for the better because I think that contrary to leadership, the people of Serbia prefer a European perspective rather than old dreams for Kosovo”, Kurti said.
