Ukraine's Foreign Minister, Dmytro Kuleba, met with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken in Berlin 15 May. He said that “more weapons and additional assistance has been launched towards Ukraine”.
Kuleba is expected to brief NATO foreign ministers during the meeting in Berlin regarding the situation in Ukraine and how the military alliance can further assist his country, which has been battling Russian forces since Moscow began its invasion on 24 February.
“We agreed to work together to make sure that Ukrainian exports reach consumers in Africa and Asia. Grateful to Blinken and US secretary for the leader and steadfast support”, Kuleba wrote on Twitter.
US State Department spokesman Ned Price said Blinken and Kuleba have talked about the influence of the Russian occupation, including the world's food security.
The Secretary offered details concerning the latest American security assistance aimed at boosting the defence of Ukraine”, Price said.
On May 11th, the House of Representatives has approved a new package of American aid to Ukraine. The new package, worth 40 billion dollars, is focused on the assistance of the Ukrainian army and the economy of this country.
