Krasniqi: A withdrawal of money from the Trust is necessary, the government should compensate for it.

Chairman The PDK, Memli Krasniqi, said today that a second withdrawal of money from Trust on the part of citizens is very necessary at the time when price hikes in Kosovo are the highest among countries in the region.

He's in an interview on show “RTK Prime”, says withdrawing money from the Trust is the initiative of PDK and MP Bekim Haxhiu, in response to the economic crisis.

The government has had no courage to raise salaries either in the public sector or in private. That's why after many discussions we've promoted the Trust's money withdrawal bill. If 500m euros were withdrawn from the Trust, it would be good for the government to say that over five years, it would compensate for the money from 100m euros annually, Krasniqi said.

He added that price hikes are record record and in Kosovo the highest in the region.

“Beyond official inflation, price hikes have exceeded as high as 200%”, Krasniqi, who for the serious economic situation is responsible for the Government, said.

The government has not released taxes on basic products and other measures, but has acted differently”, he said.
