Krasniqi for Appeal's decision: 450 thousand families were eased by the cost of electricity

Following the decision of the Appeals Court, which has rejected the ZERE complaint, as well as confirming the Constitutional Court's decision in Pristina regarding expensive electricity tariffs, Democratic Party of Kosovo chairman Memli Krasniqi has expressed happiness in the decision. “Picking up the electricity price for Kosovo families [...]

The creation of the electricity price for Kosovo families on the part of the Government and ZRRE has been an unfair and unreasonable decision. Today, we have welcomed the Court of Appeals' decision, through which it has been confirmed that that decision has also been against-law”, Krasniqi said through a post on his Facebook page.

The prime minister said he is very happy that “the principled position of The PDK for legitimacy and protection of citizens' rights as consumers” has now eased the decision of some 450 thousand Kosovo families.

“At the same time, I am very grateful to all those who have believed in this cause, which we have legally followed to protect public interest and citizens as consumers”, he said.

Krasniqi said his party will stand on the side of citizens against any “illegal and unjust rule”.

The PDK on this issue had handed over the course to the Constitutional Court in Pristina. Which gave him the right and now the Court of Appeals ruling has reconfirmed him.
