Kosovo's application to the Council of Europe, German MP calls on Italy to put it on the 20 May agenda

“Time to act: I call on the Italian government to put Kosovo's proposal on hold now, so that it can be discussed at the Council of Europe Committee of Ministers in Turin on Friday. The right moment must now be used”, the MP from the CDU/ CSU.
Abraham also had a call for the German government.
The Federal government must actively support the app. The question now is not to waste time”, he wrote.
On Friday, the Committee of Ministers of Member States of the Council of Europe will meet in Turin, Italy. This will be the last meeting with Italy as chairman of the Council of Europe Presidency.
Kosovo officially submitted its membership application to the Council of Europe on Thursday.
Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislimi said today he believes all countries that have recognised Kosovo will give their support in this process.
