The Kosovo government has voted to negotiate an agreement with the state of Israel in the field of archives. Culture, Youth and Sports Minister Hajrullah Ceku has said the move is an indication of the strengthening of bilate co-operation between the two states.
At today's cabinet meeting of the Government, the cabinet has approved the initiative to negotiate the co-operation agreement in the field of archives between the state-owned Kosovo Archives Agency and Yad Vashem, the Authority for the Memorial of Martyrs and Holocaust heroes.
Ceku has said it is the continuation of agreements that have already been reached with Israel in the area of culture.
“This is an important moment of empowering our bilatheral co-operation with the state of Israel and specifically in the field of culture and is the continuation of the agreements that have already been reached, we have signed agreements several days ago, even in the field of cinematographic co-production with the Government of Israel, and we will have the commitment to further deepen our co-operation in culture and in other spheres of”, Ceku said.
He has also announced that at the end of this week they will sign agreements for cinematic co-production with France.
This Saturday we will sign cinematographic co-production agreements with the Government of the Republic of France, which is within the Cannes Festival that begins these days. We will also be there to sign a very important agreement that opens new opportunities for Kosovo filmmakers -- that is, a film co-production agreement with the Government of the Republic of France” -- he has said.
He has said that there will be visits and co-operation agreements from now on with other states, including Austria, Qatar, Holland and Croatia.
