Kosovo applies to the European Council, Gervala: Today begins our application screening procedure

Through a video message after meeting with the Council of Europe Undersecretary Donica Grovall has announced that Kosovo has already submitted its application for membership in the Council of Europe.

“We just left the meeting with the Council of Europe's deputy secretary on behalf of Kosovo submitted the application for membership to the Council of Europe. Today a new chapter for Kosovo opens in the Council of Europe, today the process of reviewing our application, which will pass through the different institutions of the Council of Europe, the Parliamentary Assembly, and at the end of the ministerial Council”, she said.

In addition, the top diplomat said that Kosovo is the most democratic and pro-European country in the region and that it deserves full membership in the Council of Europe.
