May 9th, Europe Day, paradoxically continues to be celebrated throughout the country, where all state institutions are on break. But some of the foreign embassies continued their work, serving Kosovo citizens, who were applying for visas.
Citizens, who were waiting in front of the embassies, hesitated to speak, and others who were on vacation today said this holiday is meaningless.
Salihe Salihu, director of the Kosovo-danez scientific Institute, in the central news edition, stressed that the European Parliament in this respect, de fact, has come to revenge, because it is known that Kosovo has fulfilled all the criteria required, which, compared to other countries, have been doubled.
While Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislimi's political adviser, Mehdi Murseli, stressed on this issue that this issue has been politicised greatly in EU countries, being a hostage to numerous EU elections and domestic problems.
“but we believe that in the outcome of the elections in Germany and France a new window opens and a new opportunity for a step that, now, is delayed for Kosovo citizens”, he told RTK
