FDDK considers it based on bias, but it also requires that the source from which material published by KLA OVL leaders be investigated.
“The Fund for Humanitarian Law Kosovo (FDHK) considers it based on the decision of the first instance of the Specialised Chambers of Kosovo (DHSK) and requires that investigations be expanded even to those from whom these materials have derived”.
Such actions should be prevented as they endanger the safety of witnesses and their families, influence the reduction of confidence and credibility of the DHSK, and may have an impact on witnesses to cut off co-operation with the Specialised Chambers and the Kosovo Special Prosecutor's Office (DHSK&ZPS)”, the Fund's response to humanitarian Law.
After that decision, FDDK stresses that <x0 witness and victims in criminal procedure should feel safe to testify to justice bodies over what they know or what they have experienced with the intention of enlightening truth and achieving justice”.
This decision should create a secure environment for witnesses and victims, as well as influence awareness of persons who could potentially hinder justice management”, the Fund's response to humanitarian Law in Kosovo said.
Haradinaj's Gucati was sentenced to 4 and a half years in prison for obstruction in the administration of justice, witness intimidation and violations of the procedure's secrecy.
