EU official: The visa liberalisation petition will be handed over to Macroni, 12 thousand signatures have been collected.

Katty Schneeberger, local adviser to the European Union, has launched a petition for visa liberalisation for Kosovars days earlier. It says that more than 12,000 signatures have been collected so far. The past “I visited Kosovo for the first time to meet citizens, the NGO Emissary of Vienna, whose chairman [...]
I have visited Kosovo for the first time, to meet citizens, the Vienna Emissary NGO, whose chairman I am, and to find partners to engage in the EU integration of those countries who want it. Our mission is to someday all countries be part of the European Union, to preserve peace and democracy in the EU”, Katie Schneeberger said on the “show. Info Plus”, RTK.

She has stated that the petition will be handed over to the president of the European Council, then the president of France, to the European Parliament, but also in many EU countries.
I understand the pain of people in Kosovo, and for that I have begun this visa liberalisation campaign for them. Whoever in the world can sign this petition, so can the citizens of Kosovo. Whoever supports us must sign it. They have already signed somewhere over 12,000 people and the number continues to rise. I have a feeling that many more will sign this and we will hand this petition over to the Summit on June 20th. I will hand this over to the president of the European Council, then the president of France, to the European Parliament, but also in many EU countries”, she said.
Many countries, she says, are for visa liberalisation for Kosovo, but there are two exceptions that are: France and Holland.
Vice President Makron must consider this request, as Kosovo has met all conditions”, Katie Schneberger said in addition.
The petition started by it is called “Visa liberalisation for Kosovo now!”
Otherwise, Schneeberger's initiative has also been supported by the rapporteur for Kosovo in the European Parliament, Ulrike Lunacek.
This petition, aimed at convincing the EU's sceptical states of visa liberalisation for Kosovo citizens as already, has been signed by over 50 people.
“Although Kosovo has testified to the fulfillment of all conditions, visa liberalisation continues to be rejected by two EU member states France and the Netherlands. Visa liberalisation for all other Balkan countries, as well as Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia, has been realised for several years. It is time for even Kosovo citizens to have the opportunity to enter the EU without the need to apply for visas. Meanwhile, visa-free entry is possible for all EU citizens in Kosovo. This inequitable treatment has to end. Kosovo citizens should no longer be isolated. Therefore, we call for a decision on visa liberalisation for Kosovo at the EU's next summit in June 2022”, the initiative's rationale said.
Former European Parliament Vice President Lunacek has called Schneerberger's initiative important.
Lunacek has declared that Kosovo citizens should no longer be excluded from the opportunity to visit friends and families in the EU.
“An important initiative, please sign and detonate: Kosovo citizens should no longer be excluded from the possibility of visiting friends and families in the EU”, Lunacek wrote.
Germany's ambassador to Kosovo, Joern Rohde, has voiced optimism that visa liberalisation for Kosovars will take place this year.
According to him, visa liberalisation for Kosovo has been delayed.
You should ask them. We have made our stand clear even during the last visit of the minister and minister last year. For us this issue has been delayed, and that is the opinion of most other countries. I think he's more likely to come early than late. And I'm not just the last ambassador. I hope the liberalisation will come this year”, Rohde stated.
