In a statement titled “Serish 47? Russia outside, Kosovo within”, the leaders of ESI, Gerald Knaus and Christophe Bender have demanded that the decision be made at the Turin meeting in Italy 20 May.
It remembers that for sending Kosovo to PACE, two-thirds of the vote is enough, which falls to 31 out of 46 KE member states. That until 34 of them have recognised Kosovo. As such, Italy is now the chairman of the Committee of Ministers.
ESI estimates that Kosovo, whose independence was confirmed even by the International Court of Justice, is Russia's countertelling that was eventually excluded from the KiE.
“Unlike Russia, Kosovo has marked peaceful transfer of power through free and fair elections. Unlike Russia, independent Kosovo has never had political prisoners. Unlike Russia, Kosovo has never promoted wars”, it says in the statement, quoted Klakosova.tv.
