Kurti said the impasses in the dialogue are due to Serbia and that he is forced to pay millions to keep Serbs upstream in the north, and that the agreement on the license of the Serbian side is not being reached.
Kurti added that he cannot give Serbia anything and that Belgrade's demands are not those of Kosovo Serbs, but are in compensation for Slobodan Milosevic's losses.
“First, this would fall into the transitional logic of the titans, give something to get something, and I want citizens to take advantage of the deal. When I meet Belgrade officials, they still mourn Serbia's losses as a result of Slobodan Milosevic. It is not supposed to compensate Serbia for its past. This is about something that happens within Serbian society. I am in Kosovo in order to serve the demands of Kosovo citizens. Belgrade is coming with demands that are not Kosovo Serbs, but are in compensation for their losses 23 years ago. This is not service to citizens but a dream of “Greater Serbia” that can turn into horror for Balkan residents”, he said.
