In the case of the 23rd anniversary of the disappearance of national affairs event, Ukshin Hoti, chairman of the Republic of Kosovo Parliament Glauk Konjufca, conducted a homazhe and placed flowers near his bust, at the backyard of the house-muse in the village of Krusha the village of Krusha.
During the visit, the head of the Assembly was hosted by Andy Hoti, son of the Ukshin Hoti event.
In this case, President Konjufca said 23 years ago in Kosovo a major crime was committed by the Serbian state, which the whole nation has suffered severely.
In his view, Ukhshin Hoti left behind a great and long legacy to remember.
He has left us an extraordinary intellectual, patriotic, and secular heritage, which we will always remember for future generations because of the political thoughts he left us. His work illuminates the way for both today and as political officials, but those who study politics”, said Chief Prime Minister Konjufca.
For the disappearance of Ukshin Hoti 23 years ago, according to President Konjufca, the Serbian state has yet to be held accountable and no one has been convicted, even though Dubrava prison authorities are known at the time he disappeared.
This approach of Serbia, Chairman Konjufca added, proves that the Serbian state has not changed its view since 1998.
This approach shows that Serbia has not changed the direction it had in 1998-1999 against the Albanian people. Ukshin Hoti will always be remembered as long as there is an Albanian nation, because his patriotic activity has continued decades. He was willing to leave the professor's post at the University of Pristina to stand up for the 1981 student protests. This has proved that he was always on the side of the people”, Konjufca said.
The event and the intellectual Ukshin Hoti figure, missing since May 16th 1999, the day he had to be released from Dubrava prison.
