Who was Bujar Nishani, the military who became Albania's president

Bujar Nishani was sworn in as president of Albania on July 24, 2012 at the age of 47. He held the position of the interior minister when he assumed the position of Albanian head of state. Bujar Nishani was born in Durres on 29 September 1964, while graduating from the Military Academy “Skenderbej” in Tirana, and postgraduate studies in the United States at the Marine Postiplomatic School for “Defense Insurance Management” He also graduated from law school in 2004.
Bujar Nishani became part of Albania's Democratic Party in 1991 and has held several top state positions.
Nishani has been MP and has subsequently exercised the post of justice minister and interior minister, which he had held until July 24th 2012, when Albania's president was elected.
Nishani served as the first Albanian state from July 24th 2012 to July 24th, 2017.
He was elected president of Albania with 73 majority votes in Parliament.
The first visit abroad as President Nishani had accomplished in Kosovo. He had been declared an honorary citizen of the city of Prizren and Drenas.
