Russia has already gone to another phase of response to Western sanctions using energy as weapons and cutting off gas supplies to countries it considers an enemy.
As reported in recent days, leaders in Europe are preparing a plan to reduce their dependence on Russian energy.
And Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has criticised EU countries are resisting a total Russian oil and gas ban due to the enormous economic cost, saying they have blood in their hands.
