Belarus aims to conduct military exercises near Ukrainian border

Belarus will conduct military mobilization exercises in June and July near the Ukrainian border, according to state news agency BelTA.

The exercises will be held in the Gomel region in the south, which borders the detention zone around the site of the Chernobyl nuclear reactor disaster.

Belarus said in March that its armed forces were not participating in the Ukrainian war, but it served as a starting point for Russia to send thousands of troops across the border when it invaded.
