24 years ago in Lapushnik, Drenas, the fierce battle took place between the forces of the Kosovo Liberation Army and the Serb invaders, known as the Battle of the Lapusnik Grip.
The battle took place for three days and was one of the most glorious KLA battles.
The war fought in Lapusnik's Gripka for control of this area has been most important for the Kosovo Liberation Army, since it made Pristina's Pristina Way impeable for Serb Forces.
Lapusnik's neck was kept blocked for months, enabling KLA fighters to move free in a large part of Kosovo's territory and that enabled it to be organised and supplied with weapons.
