This seems to have dimmed the two countries.
The reason for this demand was to stop the division of the derivative market as a result of the war in Ukraine.
So says Jake Sullivan, who is a security adviser to President Joe Biden.
He said he had talked about the matter of the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, which, according to him, had angered the prince of this country, Mohammed bin Salman.
Sullivan said bin Salman had told him never to mention this case again.
According to US reports, the Saudi Arabia had been urged to increase oil production, but these talks were not finalised.
A senior American official stated that the United States is now seeking not to be harmed its interests in Ukraine.
Saudis cancelled a visit by a senior military delegation of the Biden administration last summer.
They also canceled two visits of American secretaries, the defense man Lloyd Austin and the stateman Anthony Blinken.
