They are praising this decision as short-term for resolving problems.
Kosovo Independent Private Sector Union Chairman Yusuf Azemi has told Clenkosova that this decision is to be appreciated.
There is no problem solved with this action, since according to some estimates we have made to a family of four hundred euro members, it can spend four days on food and other things”.
“Anyway, there's a positive side by which we're saying it's done by union pressure than they've seen reasonable, however it's done. We hope to have similar moves. We are interested in making a permanent solution, this support is only for a month”, Azemi said.
At today's media conference, Prime Minister Albin Kurti has said that tomorrow he will adopt the bill paving the way for minimum wage growth to 264 gross or 250 euros net. Azem has declared they do not accept this proposal by the prime minister.
For us, the minimum wage is 400 euros, if so we can be participating partners”, Azemi said.
The Union of Independent Trade Unions of Kosovo has also welcomed the government's financial support.
The chairman of this union, Att and Hykoli, for Clankosova.tv has stated that the minimum wage is not “funfesh work”, but opportunities based on professional economic regulations.
You already know that it is the Economic-Social Council under which is the Professional Tribunal for the Salaries, Cemme and Pensions at BSPK, which is tasked professionally to make the minimum wage count. The Commission proposes to us and to us in the Economic-Social Council and vote, and if you get the right votes that pay at the specified value is forwarded to the Social Partner, Government for approval”.
By law, the government can make minimum wage growth even at its estimate. I believe a lot and we'll work hard so that the minimum wage can grow every year, just as the average salary from which the minimum wage score of” goes up, Hykokosova.tv said.
In contrast, the chairman of the United Trade Union of Education, Science and Culture, Nundman Jasharaj, although he welcomed this decision, has criticised Government for failing to meet their demands.
“As a decision is not the fulfillment of our demands, we haven't demanded an additional salary of 100 euros, we have asked this to be worth for months. Until it starts to implement the Law of Salaries, our demands have not been met, as a first step can be praised, I wish Prime Minister Albin Kurti would continue with such positive steps”, he said.
The government today has announced they have allocated 100m euros to support 800 citizens.
