Six Ukrainian women in Kosovo are learning how to demine mines. So this is the first group of Ukrainian women to be trained to work with mines and go back to Ukraine to help with the damage in their country.
A mother of three from Kramatorsk, said training would be useful because she wants to protect her children and people.
They are guided through training by experts from the private company Kosova MATT.
“We still have fresh memories from the war, even though 23 years have passed since then, said Arthur Tigan, coach who runs the training of Ukrainian women, adding that their mine removal company was built on their first-hand experience, writes ABC News.
Anastasia Minchukova, 20, says there is a huge demand for people who know how to remove mines because “The fight will soon be completed”.
Minchuk also said she dreams of peace and would like to sleep in her bed without worrying about the grants and leaving for shelter.
Yulia Catelic, 38-year-old, mother of three from Kramatorsk, said the training would be useful because she wants to protect her children and her people.
