Ukraine has said it has the bodies of 7 thousand undeclared Russian soldiers in morgues and refrigerator cars, while saying the number of losses of Kremlin soldiers has gone to 19 thousand, writes the Daily Mail, records Periscope.
Olexey Arestovych, adviser to the head of the administration from the Ukrainian presidency, has said they have tried to return 3,000 of them to the beginning of the war, but that Russia has refused, saying it does not believe this high figure of losses.
For Washington Post, he says: We don't believe in these numbers. We don't have this number and we're not ready to accept them”.
Ukraine's Ministry of Interior Affairs has launched a website and a channel in Telegram for Russians to look for photos of the dead and prisoners of war.
The Kremlin has so far hidden the number of war losses, acknowledging that only 1351 soldiers have been killed so far.
But on Thursday, Putin's spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, finally admitted the huge losses saying: “We have lost a significant number of troops and this is a tragedy for us”.
The Kremlin has a policy of reducing military losses by a decree issued in 2015 that says all deaths in a conflict are a state secret.
