Kosovo Statistics Agency (ASK) publishes “Transport and Telecommunications Statistics” for the first quarter (TM1) 2022 with data on Air Transport, Hekurudhor, Rrugor and Telecommunications.
A total of 333km of railway railways for transportation are on Kosovo territory. In the first quarter (TM1) of 2022, the number of passengers who took the train as a travel vehicle was about 13,000, where compared to TM1 2021, the number of passengers has decreased by 25%. Meanwhile, the transportation of the train freight at TM1 in 2022 was about 114 tonnes.
As for the number of flights to TM1 2022 was 1 936, in proportion to the same quarter of last year (TM1 2021) has growth of 47%. The number of travelers, who used the plane as a transport vehicle, was about 524 thousand, where in relation to the same quarter of last year (TM1 2021) has an increase of 65%. /Periscopi/
