The Swiss government has denied Serbia's Intelligent Service claims that they are unaware of the death threat of former Swiss Senator Dick Marty.

BIA had stated in the case that it was only now being informed and that they had sent a letter to the Swiss authorities to condemn Marty's claims.

But in a response to Clankosova.tv Swiss authorities claimed they were in contact with the Serbian state.

The competent Swiss authorities are in contact with Serbian authorities at different levels. In particular, Fedpol (The Federal Police Office) launched an exchange of information with Serbian police authorities at the 911 level”.

Also provided are details concerning the case where the former Swiss politician was taken under protection.

This measure (notification of Serbian organs) is part of the set of measures that have been drafted, where the exchange between Fedpol and Serbian police authorities has been made in close consultation with Prosecutor General”.

We can confirm that by December 2020, a serious threat situation was assumed against Mr. Dick Marty. In addition to aspects of criminal law, the issue includes guaranteeing personal safety and, due to the supposed transnational context, there are also political components”.

Therefore, various organs at federal and cantonal levels are involved in their respective areas of responsibility. In this context, the Attorney General's Office, Fedpol and other partner authorities have drafted a series of comprehensive measures”.

The Swiss government also details the measures taken for Dick Marty's personal safety.

But, in response further, it is said that the danger to him has not yet passed and therefore no details can be given about other measures.

“to ensure security, Fedpol has taken broad safeguard clauses based on regular assessments of the situation, including security in Mr. Marty (this includes so - called closely protected when appearing in public spaces or technical safety measures in his residence, for example)”.

These safeguard clauses have been implemented in co-operation with the cantonal police. Security and Protection measures are still in operation, so if they don't unduly violate their effectiveness, no details” will be discovered.

Former Swiss Senator Dick Marty himself, Sunday, had declared during an interview that he has received threats to his murder by Serbian secret services.

He claimed the purpose of the assassination was to leave the blame to Albanians.
