Arberie Nagavci, Minister of Education, Science, Technology and innovation (MASHTI), says he is unaware that the indictment has been filed against him.

I'm not aware “

“At least so far I have information that there is any indictment against me”, Nagavci said, adding that he does not know the details and that he cannot talk more about.

The “Justice Vow” has reported exclusively on the indictment of Minister Nagavci, who was charged that on March 21, 2018, while holding the session in the Kosovo Assembly, in which tear gas was dropped, during the police's search, a green spray with black dusting parts had been found.

The act, provided by the “Justice Vow”, results in a trial exercise on July 30, 2019.

Initially, this subject was assigned to the General Department judge at the Criminal Division of the Basic Court in Pristina, Ertan Seylla, but the same through an official act of March 2, 2020, had forwarded it to the Randa Crime Department.

“With monitoring acts dated 02.03.20, Judge Ertan Seyfulla from the DP in this court has forwarded the course to DKR”, says the Foundation Court's announcement in Pristina.

However, according to Smil's program the subject was divided to Judge Agim Kuci, who had demanded his exemption from handling the case.

“According to the GJA decision number 495/2021 of the 2508.2021 date with President Albina Rama's decision has been approved by Judge Agim Red's request for his expulsion from this criminal case since he previously took action as judge of the preliminary procedure”, the Constitutional Court in Pristina said.

Currently, this subject is handled by Judge Naim Krasniqi-Jashnica.

According to the indictment filed by Pristina Constitutional Prosecutor Arberie Nagavci is being charged with criminal activity “retaining unauthorised possession of weapons”.

The Actakuz says that on March 21, 2018, the defendant Nagavci unauthorizedly and contrary to the law on weapons has kept the green spray, with black spray fragments with the inscription “NATO American Style”

In addition, the indictment reportedly says that until during the hearings in the Republic of Kosovo Assembly Hall, where there has been tear gas dumps by some MPs, police to prevent renewed gas launching have physically checked all MPs.

During the body control of defendant Nagavci, the accusation says she has been found and seized high-resolute spray.

With this, Nagavci is accused of committing criminal work “holding ownership, auditing or unauthorized possession of weapons” by Article 374, paragraph 1 of the Republic of Kosovo Penal Code, doing so punishable with fines of up to 7 thousand and 500 euros or imprisonment for up to five years.
