Senators during their stay in Pristina will meet with State Chief Vjosa Osmani and Prime Minister Albin Kurti. In meetings with state leaders, the three senators will be accompanied by US Ambassador to Pristina Jeffrey Havenier.
This American delegation's visit to the Western Balkan region has been prompted by developments in Ukraine, and the war Vladimir Putin started there.
During all this time since the beginning of the conflict in Ukraine, there have been warnings that the region may be Putin's goal of destabilising, and that has alarmed the West.
Senator Murphy himself had confirmed this in announcing the visit to Serbia, Kosovo and Bosnia this week, saying Putin could target creating any problems in any fragile region such as the Western Balkans.
