According to the local regional administration, a third Russian rocket “went into the air”. The city, which is a major industrial centre, has been the first stop point for many civilians who have fled to escape Russian aggression in Mariupol.
In a statement today, Ukraine's state-owned nuclear energy company, Energoatom, reported seeing two rockets flying at a low altitude over its plant in Zaporizia.
Whether the Russian forces used these two missiles for the city's attacks is unknown.
In 36 years since the Chernobyl tragedy, Russia has exposed the whole world to the danger of a repeat nuclear disaster,” said Energoatom in a statement.
