This month, the British committee, which organises the race each year, said it is in talks with the British government about the participation of players from Russia and Belarus.
This decision would render them unable to participate in this year's number two world tennis competition, Daniil Medvedev, and the other Russian tennis player, Andrey Rublev, the eighth in the world.
The committee said the decision would be publicised in May.
