The Democratic Party of Kosovo has handed over Penal Kalzim for members of the ZERE Board to the Special Prosecutor of the Republic of Kosovo, for failing to implement the Constitutional Court's ruling in Pristina, for suspending implementation of the energy expensive decision for citizens of the Republic of Kosovo.

Secretary - General The PDK, Bajrush Xhemajli, at a news conference following the handover of the indictment, said the ZRRE, despite the legal obligation to implement the court's decision, designed public opinion, that this decision could not be implemented after they will complain to the Court of Appeals.

The PDK's “quality of Secretary General, along with the authorised representative Faton Fetah, acting on behalf of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, prefigured Penal Calulation against the Office Board for Energy Regulatory, which, from April 8th this month, failed to implement the Constitutional Court of Pristina's Act, which suspended the decision to expensive electricity until the end of the judicial process in the PDK suit, which we have made against the ZRRIE verdict. After the ZRER made its decision early in February to expensive electricity, The PDK, acting in defense of the interest of Kosovo citizens, family consumers of electricity, has filed indictments for abolishing the ZRRE decision. And in addition to this indictment, we have applied for postponement of the ZERE decision, respectively, until the investigation and merit settlement of the indictment, with the aim of avoiding the major consequences and losses this decision is causing to our citizens.”, Xhemajli said.

While the PDK has made public calls for implementation of this court ruling, Z The RRE has continued to bill energy at expensive tariffs of up to 109%, causing financial damage to 350 thousand families of the Republic of Kosovo.

This illegality is going quietly from the prime minister and all the majority in Parliament Government, which shows they're in full sync with the ERR. Z Board RRE, it has decided to act on the law on judicial decision, so we will not tolerate this and stop seeking justice for citizens who are being robbed.”, Xhemajli added.

Xhemajli said the PDK welcomes the start of criminal investigations against the ZRRE Board because it believes in the rule of law and democratic.

Meanwhile Faton Fetah, lawyer of The PDK said on this occasion, from this month when Kosovo citizens accept price-growing energy bills, they have the legal right to file indices against KESCO and ZRE, because according to him, this fate is currently in conflict with the Court's decision, therefore without legal grounds.

The “Since the distribution operator with instructions to members of the ZERE board did not observe the Constitutional Court of Pristina's decision, this criminal outcry against each member of the ERE board would have serious judicial consequences for them. Because they have already consumed four criminal acts, whose basis is linked to failing to the judicial decision and those deliberately and deliberately damaging the interest of citizens who have been protected by the Court with its decision”, lawyer Faton Fetah said.
