Minxhozi condemns attacks on police in the north: International Co-operation Needed

Albania's ambassador to Kosovo, Kemajl Minxhozi, has condemned the attacks on police officers in the north, naming them bad for the stability of the region. In an interview for the EO, Minxhozi added there should be a harmonisation of actions even with the international factor, but also co-operation within the country's institutions. “

In an interview for the EO, Minxhozi added there should be a harmonisation of actions even with the international factor, but also co-operation within the country's institutions.

“As far as the situation in the north we see with much concern what has happened, the incidents should definitely be averted because they are not good for the stability of the region. We should remember that discretion is very important at this moment, but also a co-operation with the international institutions that are here in Kosovo is a necessity”.

The “must have a harmonisation of actions even with the international factor that is here. The attacks of days ago are punishable, but I think that with mutual co-operation, especially within Kosovo institutions, every attempt to destabilise, disrupt Kosovo's order and calm, and I think that in the future, this co-operation should increase more and more effective as such incidents do not take place”.

While connecting with Kosovo-Albanian co-operation in terms of security, the ambassador said that the Albanian state, being a NATO member, has provided extraordinary experience to Kosovo in a military way, reports EO.

The two countries have significant updated co-operation, both in terms of police and military. Albania, being a NATO member, has offered Kosovo's military institutions an invaluable aid, its experience. We hope this co-operation will come to an increase”, he said.
