Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo Governor Fehmi Mehmeti is participating in regular annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank, held in Washington.
Mehmeti for RTK has said these two institutions have made special contributions to Kosovo's economic development.
“Today is the third day of meetings under annual meetings of the International Fund and the World Bank, these meetings present a very good platform for meeting important IMF, World Bank and American Treasury officials, institutions that have made very important contributions to institutional development in Kosovo. During these meetings, we will have the opportunity to discuss even macroeconomic and financial developments in Kosovo, especially for this time when the global economy was experiencing severe shocks, such as the pandemic crisis and now the effects of Ukraine's Russian occupation. The IMF and World Bank annual meetings are also a good opportunity to discuss our own institutions, where technical assistance projects are being taken into account are supported by these two American institutions and treasury that have played an important role in the construction and development of the CEC”, he said.
Mehmeti suggested he will also discuss the achievements of the CEC, which have emerged from the IMF report, financial stability for Kosovo, and other projects from these three institutions that will provide the following BEC.
