Prosecutor Besim Kelmendi will exercise the post of chief state prosecutor, the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council has decided on Thursday.
He will exercise his duty until a new KKP decision.
On April 6th, the Prosecutorial Council voted Blerim Isufajn for this position, but the decree of decree has remained in the hands of President Vjosa Osmani.
Civil society has called the proposal Isufaj's appointment unacceptable, while disappointed with the process the embassies of several partner countries and the European Union Office have also been declared.
The country's president, Vjosa Osmani, has earlier said that every detail will be studied before the decision to decree or not to buy Isufaj for the chief state prosecutor.
The United States and the European Union have criticised the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council for proceeding to select the candidate for chief state prosecutor.
Alexander Lumez today completes the prosecutor's term. He has been holding the position since April 21, 2015.
