Dear citizens of the Roma community,
Bahtalo Romano Die!
Happy International Roma Day!
Today is a day to celebrate Roma culture, heritage, language and symbols. The green blue flag, with the red wheel in the middle, represents movement and progress.
On this day, we honor all of those men and women who are engaged without stopping to advance the Roma community. We are working closely together to rid ourselves of prejudice, reduce inequality, and increase our prospects for better life.
Roma means human beings, man.
And we remember this day also a certain man, whom we had in our midst, and the poet, and the deputy, Metom Paach, and his verses:
Oh, man.
Our Lord has created us.
Like you, like me, like them
Under the color of your hide skin you have a rainbow
Inside your soul
So lift thy forehead, ”
It was a special pleasure to visit on Tuesday the oldest Roma organisation “Durmish Aslan” in Prizren.
