Kurti: I informed the U.S. Senators about our successes.

In our joint meeting, I have stressed that it has never been more important than now that democratic states stand together against the aggression and illegal war of Russia in Ukraine. With this once again we re-exert our solidarity and admiration for the people of Ukraine, its political leadership, and the sustainability of the liberation war that they are fighting”, Kurti said.

Kurti said Kosovo has supported the US stand for the war in Ukraine, while saying senators have also announced Kosovo's successes.

“In this context Kosovo has maintained the same position as the United States, the EU and NATO states, while on the other hand we have authorities who may be separated from their people but are co-operating with each other. I particularly informed the senators of the successes of the state of Kosovo, of which the US has contributed so much, both in war and in peace, both before the proclamation of independence and after it”, he has said.

The prime minister also said it is important that the United States support Kosovo's NATO membership.

Even at that meeting, we have requested US support for Kosovo's NATO membership for what it is important for Kosovo to become part of the Partnership for Peace programme towards full membership”, he has said.
