Israel would consider “a major honour” to welcome a possible meeting of the two presidents, he said, adding that it is up to Putin and Zelensky to decide.
Turkey had previously welcomed a face-to-face meeting of the two countries' delegations.
Putin and Israel's prime minister, Naphtali Bennett, have been holding telephone conversations since the beginning of the war, as the Israeli prime minister visited Moscow early in March.
