Responding to the question about “The close co-operation between Dragan Covich and Milorad Dodik”, he brought it into the context of corruption, saying that “it should be seen, not in the context of ethnonationalism, but deepening corruption”.
Asked whether corruption is the main problem of BiH, Escobar responded “absolutely” for Croatia's N1. Then he added: Bosnia is the most corrupt country in Europe”.
If you look at the problems that BiH has, the problem is not that people do not want to live with Croats, Bosniaks or Serbs. Young people are leaving the country because people cannot be employed without corrupt links. This hurts Bosnia more than anything, so people are leaving the country. This is absolutely the problem and is not just my opinion. Known analyses, such as Transparency International, show Bosnia and Herzegovina is the most corrupt country in the Western Balkans and almost the most corrupt country in Europe. So this is the most urgent problem”, Escobar said.
