Brazil's ambassador today at the UN Security Council meeting has said Serbs and other minorities are feeling discriminated against in Kosovo, Periscopi reports.
Brazil's representative, the voice of Serbia, said that Kosovo's independence is premature and that lobby for recognition is undermining the dialogue process with Serbia.
We believe that the ongoing discussion of recognition of Kosovo as a state has been damaging to the process. The people of Kosovo can enjoy subtancial autonomy within Serbia, and local governance can provide normal conditions for all Kosovo residents. Conditions for normal life have not yet been achieved. Target: UNMIK remains unfulfilled. The proclamation of independence seems premature. ) ) P E RISCOP/
