The horror of atrocities inflicted by Russian forces in the Ukrainian village of Bucha has dominated the front of newspapers, while politicians around the world are listed in the condemnation of the massacre of hundreds of civilians, writes The Guardian, Pryskopi.
Mirror Writes simply “Geonocids” in its title under line “The last tenor of Putin”. The paper quotes Ukrainian President Voldymyr Zelensky, but the site is filled with an heartbreaking photograph from Bucha, near Ukraine's capital, where the lifeless bodies of civilians have been thrown into the streets. Hundreds of civilians have been found in mass graves, and some have been connected.
The Guardian keeps a scene of the destruction in Bucha on his forehead, with the title: “Horor in Bucha: Russia is accused of torture and massacre of civilians”. It underlines calls for new sanctions and military support from the West following mass killings of vulnerable civilians.
Times There are “Civils shot in the street” in their title, and reports that many victims have been tied to “the executional style” after journalists visited two centres in Bucha. She quotes Chief of Secret Intelligence Richard Moore, saying that the ways of the murders were “revenge and cold blood”.
Financial Times i n Telegraph It focuses on the matter of sanctions. The FT reports on the consequences of a full oil and gasoline embargo, with Council of Europe President Charles Michel, saying new sanctions are on the way after the Bucha massacre. EU diplomats are expected to discuss new measures Wednesday.
Telegraph It doesn't contain any photographs from the scene in Ukraine, but it says the United Kingdom and its allies will have no peace until Vladimir Putin is held responsible for war crimes after scenes in Bucha as well as Irpin.
Daily Mail Says the images in Ukraine awaken the horror of World War II, reporting that the killings have been compared to “the modernities of the Nazis and the Great Terror of Stalin”. The Archbishop is Putin's “
Metro quoted Ukraine's Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba as saying it was: “worse than ISIS”. The paper says the images from Bucha are too terrifying to print and included the Kremlin's assessment that they are located.
Daily Express It focuses on Boris Johnson, with the prime minister's pledge that “will make Putin pay for the crimes beyond war. The Sun also highlights Johnson's comments on her forehead.
