Five for the attacks in the north: Serbia to continue at any cost to tackle the situation

The attacks on the Kosovo Police are the continuation of Serbia's plans to provoke the situation in the country's north. So says Institute K director IPRED, Lulzim Peci, under which Serbs are provoking the situation in the north, so that they can then proceed with further steps of escalating the situation in this part of the country.
Peci said attacks like this on police officers in Zubin Potok will not stop until Serbia receives a strong message from the West that it cannot continue in this form.
The former ambassador rules out the possibility that attacks on Kosovo Police in the country's north have interethnic character. While stressing that Serbia will use all hybrid war mechanisms to cause turmoil, until it takes the decisive step to secede from Russia, which, according to him, is unlikely to happen.
I don't think these are interethnic incidents. This is part of a hybrid war Serbia is making against Kosovo. They are provoking the situation in the north, so that they can then proceed with further steps of passing the situation into this part of the country, at exactly when it is being put under pressure to resume negotiations on reaching a solution, which should be focused on mutual recognition. I think that's Serbia's key goal. They will not stop until they receive a strong message from the West that they cannot continue in this form. They will continue at any cost to exacerbate the situation, in this form of a hybrid war against Kosovo”, he says of Kosovo Press.
He warns that such provocations are dangerous, as the situation may move to another dimension, which can hardly be predicted.
This is very dangerous, because I hope that in no form there will be victims in humans. Because, if it comes to something bigger, then we go to another dimension of the situation in the north, which I cannot predict what course it can get”, he points out.
Today's attack on a patrol unit of the Kosovo Police until their vehicle was moving from Mitrovica to the Brnjak border is the sixth consecutive of this nature. Several days ago, other police units were attacked north of the country.
