He for Klonkosova.tv said Wednesday 20 April is the deadline at which talks with Government are expected.

The congressional decision has been that by April 20th is the date when conversations are expected, meetings are expected, and after that date, if there is nothing, no movement will be called the Steering Council and clearly define what the strike will look like, so we have an open option, but we are waiting and then we see if there are any moves. We're waiting to pass April 20th and then we'll call the Steering Council and we'll report to our representatives, so me and the others whether we've had meetings and what are the odds, they decide on it and define it, just as they define it, in action”, he said.

Jasharaj said further than if they start negotiations, then during their time there will be no union action.

But, the chief education union hopes the Government will take measures in this direction, because according to him, the only solution is reaching an agreement.

So it's not tomorrow, because we've said it at the congress, which is the 20 April deadline we've given from April 8th protest, so it's room for conversation, that you find solutions to the dialogue, and the government is finding solutions for dialogue and it's starting a sincere dialogue then with the rules is that until there's dialogue, both sides don't do other actions. We always hope that they will finally see that without the union, nothing can be done, and I believe there will be intensive meetings, because neither we nor they need protests and strikes, much better to reach agreement”, Jasharaj said.

The SBASK chairman re-enhanced the main demand of this and other unions once again.

The key requirements are that until in co-operation with trade unions fails to finalise and go into processes and apply the wage law, until then we have a salary support, of 100 euros for all employees, from nests to university and culture sector, these 100 euros to continue until the union and the government agrees with the wage law, listen to each other and decide jointly respecting the arguments and proposals of the SBASKU and then when the wage law is implemented, and then continues with the salaries of the natural wage law that we expect it to create, the 271 per cent, he said.

From the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, for Clankosova.tv have declared the strike would harm students and the entire education system.

In a response to this ministry, the period of pandemic is said to have greatly influenced this deep educational loss in the education system.

This profound educational loss in the education system, because students have lost hours and learning has often been irregular. During this period education workers have been at the level of their duty. The strike would harm students and the entire education system. As the minister is working hard at improving the results in education”, the MAST response is further said.

To discuss the April 20th deadline and the USSAK's warning of protests, the Kosovo Parents' Council will also meet.

That for Clankosova.tv confirmed the chairman of the Parents' Council, Ymret Resiti, who said the meeting is expected to take place today during the day.

We will have a meeting of the Parents Council. During the day, I will contact them and hold an online appointment”, he said.
