American President Lincoln's murder anniversary

Lincoln continues to remain and is considered one of America's most beloved leaders, whose legitimacy continues to inspire American presidents and world leaders.

Lincoln was killed while he and his wife were watching a show at Ford cinema in Washington. As his killer, John Wilkes Booth, fled the crime scene, Lincoln was taken to a house near the cinema, where he died the next morning.

Lincoln's death occurred just when he was leading the country out of Civil War, during which over 620 thousand American soldiers were killed.
