According to the Institute of Statistics, 285 of the 323 accidents occurred in the first three months of last year during this period.
The number of accidents is 392 persons out of 418 last year's 3 months. INSTAT estimates that the number of dead from road accidents is 46 out of 58 people dead in the first quarter of 2021. What is noted is that of 46 life losses due to accidents, 12 have registered only in the Durres district, leaving Tirana and other cities behind.
The Statistics Institute suggests that in March the number of accidents has decreased by 15 per cent, there are 5 injured and 4 deaths less than March 2021.
Although this year's first three months have registered accidents reductions compared to the same period a year ago, the behavior of drivers continues to be a problem in 93 per cent of cases. /klantv
