The German Embassy in Pristina has accepted 199,783 visa applications in the past four months. 11 per cent of Kosovo's population has applied for German visas from the beginning of December until the end of March. In March, the embassy has accepted 48,044 applications, while in February only 2,000 less. The German Embassy issues 500 to 800 visas a month, or about 5,500 a year.
Embassys of other countries in Pristina accept much less applications. From November to January last year for Swiss visas have applied 8737 Kosovo citizens, while 1944 applications have been accepted at the Croatian Embassy from November to March.
