Today's morning Kosovo Police Inspectorate (IPK), along with the Special Prosecutor, has landed at the Vermica border point, where more than 20 police officials have been arrested so far, Kosovo Preress has learned.

The action is under way against police officials who are suspected of committing a bribery and misuse of official office or authority.

The IPK along with the Special Prosecutor has announced that “Operation today (detected under the name “Pica 2”) has preceded an investigation about a year of suspicion of involvement in illegal activities of a number of police officials related to criminal acts “bribe taking” and “the misuse of official position or authority”. This investigation is under way in full co-ordination and leadership by the Special Prosecutor of the Republic of Kosovo (PSRK), including secret investigation measures. The investigation also includes co-operation with prosecutors from the SPAK (PAK's Special Anti-corruption and Organised Crime Plan) and AMP officials the Police Supervisory Agency (PAK counterpart agency in Albania)”.

We remember that on March 14th, IPK and Special Prosecutorship had a action called “Pika” and where 48 policemen were arrested.

They were arrested at border points “Qafe Prusshe” and “Qaffe Morine”, allegedly involved in over 400 criminal activities of bribery and misuse of official office.
